Came here for Father's Day. Had to wait a bit but that was to be expected. The staff was very friendly and kept us up to date on how long we had to wait. I had the chicken and waffles and loved it. Also had piece of the breakfast quesadilla and thought it was delicious. Overall a good experience.

If your group can't decide on what everybody wants to eat, go to Sara's. The menu is huge, like a book (seriously it's over ten pages), with something for everybody. Specialties include gigantic baked potatoes with a variety of creative toppings (I like the Greek potato) and a page full of omelets named for famous women. The tables have tic-tac-toe grids and little jelly packets to play to your heart's content while waiting for food. Service has been excellent the many times I've been here. While most things are good, nothing seems especially outstanding. Parking is easy though and when the other local restaurants are packed, Sara's has room.

I have eaten here several times, always happy. Last night was party of 14; all ages from toddlers to great-grandpa. Menu has so much variety, everyone got something different and everyone loved it. I had a loaded baked potato "chicken jack". Potato fills 9" dish and is smothered with chicken, onions, mushrooms, cheese. Vegetarian in the family found a vegetarian pizza, toddlers with grilled cheese and chicken fingers, some had breakfast, grinder, various burgers...the bill for 14 of us was $120...very reasonable.

We finally visited during lunch for our first time since moving to Fort Wayne. Sara's is a small place conveniently located off route 24 near I69. It was just after noon and the place was about half filled on a Thursday. We ordered one of their stuffed potatoes and a grilled turkey Ruben sandwich. Each came with choice of side. Both had salads. The salads were typical tossed mix mostly iceberg lettuce. The sandwich was prepared well with sauerkraut and thousand island on the side. It was tasty but nothing spectacular. The potato was enormous. Stuffed with cheese and nicely steamed broccoli. Whipped Butter and sour cream came on the side. Definitely would come back for the potato again. Their menu was extensive...many breakfast choices too. In fact it appeared other guests were ordering breakfast meals so the may serve it all day here. Definitely will go back to try the breakfast in the future.

The service was brusque, but I expect that from a place seemingly run by teenagers. The food and coffee was terrible. I'll never be tempted to go back.

Clean, fresh, healthy options for those watching their points. The portions were excellent and the food was made with fresh ingredients. I appreciate that as it shows me that they are committed to the taste, even if it means that they may have to toss out the ingredient if not used in time. I don't like canned spinach in an anything. So, I was over the top happy

Good food, portions large. Angela's skillet excellent, junior omelet nice sized. Overall good food, place was busy hard to get drink refills.

Everything here was good. It's classic American fair. I would come back and eat here and perhaps try some of the eggs Benedict dishes that they have. It's well priced for what it is. I can't particularly rate this place much higher because it really was just good not blow you away great. The service was 5 stars for sure. If I get a craving for "dinner style" food I would come back here. Side note...the clam strips are not very good and they are $8. The breaded pickle chips are good and they are $4

Traditional American menu with all day breakfast options. Service was good and waitress attentive. Large portions fairly priced. Coffee is weak. Iced tea OK.

You have to really like the small town atmosphere of this locally owned restaurant. Not fancy, lot large, but the serving sizes are huge and quality is very good. I have always ordered off the lunch / dinner menu so I can't comment on their breakfast items. I can say I have never had a meal there I didn't really like. Only catch is that their prices have really jumped up a lot recently. This shifts my rating as now they are competing with costlier restaurants that are pretty good as well. This is leaving this quaint little find as not the real value it once was. This is why I've only given 3 stars. There's plenty of excellent locally owned competition at lower prices - that is what really hurts this location.

This place surprised me. The service was wonderful and the food was exceptional. I got the turkey wrap and you can choose what kind of tortilla you want. We got the food in a very timely manner and it was just a great experience. Not for large groups or intimate diners. The space is small and the tables are at arms length.

I like this place. Always friendly and serve good meals. Bring an appetite the portions are large.

The menu boasts of elaborate breakfasts. Eggs every which way and cooked to order. Though each item is scrumptiously described, what actually arrived had very little flavor. But how could this be? I see nothing but farms in the surrounding area so why are my onions & peppers nearly tasteless? Bad batch? They do other things well, crunchy hash browns, for instance and the never ending cup of coffee. Portions are big and prices are low. There are so many other items on the menu to try including the lunch part of the menu. The restaurant has a school house motif and is very clean.

Had an exceptional breakfast here a few days ago - Betsy Ross - eggs benedict variation with spinach, tomato, poached eggs, fresh english muffin and outstanding hollandaise sauce. Was able to have fruit cup rather than potatoes. Coffee fresh and delicious. Great service and definitely a wonderful place to stop for a quality breakfast. Has been rated best breakfast for 2010 and 2011 - definitely earned it!

Stopped here with my sister on the way to see a movie (Step Up 3 - don't laugh! We only paid $3). Portions are Big. Her blueberry pancakes were pretty good, although if they ask if you want fruit topping or fresh blueberries on top, be aware that they will give you like 8 fresh blueberries. No big deal since the pancakes were stuffed full of blueberries, but we did laugh at the quantity. Me, I got Ashley's Skillet. Bigger than skillets I normally get. I had to pick out all the sausage though - I had been expecting Breakfast sausage, not slice up sausage that looked like Eckrich's Sausages. It was also a little skimpy on the veggies. The pancakes that came with mine tasted good, but I couldn't eat them all. I don't know that I would go back, but I wouldn't talk someone out of going either.

Their claim to fame is hilary clinton held economic roundtable there in 2008. Just beware food is good but portions are huge. I could have literally eaten it for 3 or 4 meals. I had saras pasta. Spaghetti with italian sausage baked with motz cheese throughout. Salad was fresh and was glad to be close enough to the south to get sweet tea. Menu is large making decision had if your not a local.

The food is reminiscent of public school cafeterias from the 80s. I ordered grilled chicken, broccoli, and mashed potatoes. The chicken was mustard yellow, perfectly flat, and, well, freezer-to-table. Terrible quality. What a shame. Cute decor, friendly wait staff, and locally owned.
